Locations

In this guide, we’ll explore Spin’s locations model and show you how to manage and interact with locations seamlessly within the Spin platform.

List All Locations

To view all of your locations in Spin, head to the contacts page. You'll see all of Spin's contact categories along the top of the contact gallery, representing the different types of contacts available in Spin. Choosing the Location contact type will filter to all of your locations!

Edit a Location

If the details of a location change, updating them in Spin is quick and easy. Go to the contacts page, open the location you want to update, and click the Action button, followed by Edit Location. This opens a modal with fields for:

  • Name
  • Alternative Label (useful for specific places within a property)
  • Address One
  • Address Two (e.g., entrance or suite number)
  • City
  • Postal/Zip Code

Note: As you edit the Address One field, Spin will suggest addresses, saving you time and automatically linking the location to higher-level data for distance calculations, mapping, and timezone accuracy.

When you're satisfied with the changes, click Update Location to save.
